Prospective PhD Students
We are recruiting 1–2 fully funded PhD students to start in Fall 2027. If you are interested in security, privacy, or trustworthy AI, please apply through the Dartmouth CS PhD program in the Fall 2026 cycle and mention Shawn Shan in your research statement. You are welcome to email your CV beforehand.
Master’s Students
Dartmouth Master’s students who want to do research in AI security or privacy can email Shawn a short note about their interests, background, and a current CV.
Undergraduate Researchers
Dartmouth undergraduates are welcome to get involved. Send Shawn your transcript and a few sentences on what you would like to work on. Coursework in machine learning, systems, or security helps.
Postdoctoral Researchers
We have an opening for a postdoctoral researcher in AI security, privacy, or trustworthy ML. If you have a strong publication record, email Shawn your CV and a short research statement.
Visiting Researchers
